A top Canadian cop’s daughter busted for trafficking
Canadian police arrested the daughter of a top-ranking RCMP officer this week. Lisa McKinnon faces charges of trafficking after police say she was arrested with crack and heroin.

A top Canadian Mountie learned Thursday that his colleagues have arrested his 22-year-old daughter for trafficking cocaine and heroin, The Daily Courier reported.
A Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigation into a dial-a-dope operation near Vancouver implicated Supt. Bill McKinnon’s daughter, Lisa.
“He, like anybody else, is a victim as a result of this,” Insp. Rick Flewelling said.
“It speaks to the point that criminality and drugs is something we all have to face. Any one if us are not immune from that type of thing. We are all susceptible to drugs and what it can do. (Supt. McKinnon) and his wife are not different. They're victims; they're parents. They face the same trials and tribulations as anyone else.”

The RCMP charged Lisa McKinnon with trafficking after they arrested her in possession of crack cocaine and heroin, the Vancouver Province said.
A 20-year-old man, suspected of being the buyer, was also arrested. Lisa McKinnon is expected to appear in court later this month.
Mounties investigating the case kept their colleague in the dark throughout, Flewelling said.
“To be honest, my heart goes out to him,” he said.
McKinnon, considered one of the RCMP’s finest for his unflappable leadership, has not made any statements, GlobalBC said.
“There's no question (Supt. McKinnon) is disappointed," Flewelling said, “and I think he's taking it like any parent would.”
