In a speech from the White House last night, President Obama said the military had satisfied its mission in Afghanistan, and will begin withdrawing troops. Earlier in the week, we spoke with Christine Fair, Assistant Professor at the Center for Peace and Security Studies at Georgetown University, about the possibility that a troop withdrawal from Afghanistan would happen soon, and whether or not the Taliban is an enemy of the U.S. A Takeaway listener and law student at Columbia Universitu, David Meyers, in an article on the website the Daily Caller, took issue with that last part. That got us thinking: as our troops leave Afghanistan, and the President says mission accomplished, who are our enemies there? David joins us to share his opinion.
