And as it turns out in this week's episode of the Discovery Channel series Mythbusters, one of Archimedes' inventions has attracted the attention of the First Family: �One of the largest science projects ever can only be requested by one man. �how are you? The seaport on the island of Sicily was once part of Greater Greece and home to the early Greek scientist Archimedes. Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with the co-hosts of the Mythbusters television show Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman who, at President Obama's request, recently re-tested the myth of the Archimedes Solar Ray. The myth says that Archimedes set fire to an invading fleet using only mirrors and the rays of the sun.
