Cuban American voters in Miami have long supported Republican candidates in US elections. That’s in part because of their history leaving a leftist government in Cuba. But progressive organizations are talking about issues such as housing and climate change with Cuban American voters, and finding new ways to connect culturally. Virginia Lora from Feet in 2 Worlds reports from Miami on how both parties are reaching out to Cuban American voters before the 2022 midterm election next week.
