In 1964, the military sent tanks into Brazil’s capital to oust a left-leaning president. The military dictatorship stayed in power for two decades. Now, new evidence is surfacing that former President Jair Bolsonaro also considered launching a coup after he lost the election in 2022. From Florianopolis, Brazil, Michael Fox reports on how the country is observing the 60th anniversary.
