Update: Virginia police order BBC journalists to delete footage of suspected shooter's crash

Virginia investigates why police forced two journalists to delete footage in the aftermath of yesterday's double-killing of a TV crew. The state says it's against police policy to order destruction of such evidence, and civil libertarians say the police move was against the law.

The materials needed to make art can be expensive, too expensive for some. But one artist in South Africa has found away to combine his artistic passion and his love of recycling. Mbongeni Buthelezi collects plastic bags from the streets around his Johannesburg studio and melts them to create a unique kind of art — he calls it "plastic fantastic."

Without ska, there would be no reggae

In the 1960s, rock 'n' roll gave birth to many new styles of popular music. One of those was Ska, which originated in Jamaica and was a precursor to reggae. Filmmaker Brad Klein has just come out with a documentary tracing the history of ska, "Legends of Ska. Without ska, there is no reggae."
