And, we head to the UK, where a local photographer has been taking a Lego minifigure with him on all of his assignments — shooting his picture in all sorts of unexpected situation. Then, we meet an Israeli techie who's one of his country's leading cyber security experts — and he's not even 30.

You wouldn't believe the situations a hard-working Lego photographer finds himself in

Everything is Awesome. That's the theme song to The Lego Movie, a recently released film that imagines a richly detailed life for its animated minifigure characters. But what's it like to be a working Lego stiff, a one-and-a-half-inch tall freelance Lego photographer? Andrew Whyte's been finding out. He's been carrying around a little Lego man for more than a year, photographing him every day, rain or shine.

Afghan vice president's death leaves a political void, right before new elections

Afghanistan is mourning the loss of its vice president, Marshal Qasim Fahim, who died over the weekend. He was an ethnic Tajik and he battled the Taliban for years before helping the US oust the Islamic militants from power. Fahim was seen as one of three key powers in Afghanistan — along with President Hamid Karzai and the Americans. And his death leaves a political void.
