Teke Wiggin is a freelance writer based in D.C. who has written articles for The Korea Times and the LA Times about political and cultural issues inside South Korea. After graduating from NYU with a B.A. English in 2008, Teke moved to South Korea and spent 18 months teaching English at a college on the outskirts of Seoul. During his stay there, he enriched his knowledge of the country by learning the Korean language, studying its history and taking a motorcycle trip around the peninsula (he wrote a feature travel piece for an ex-pat magazine about this last endeavor).
