Ruben Navarrette Jr. is a member of the editorial board of The San Diego Union-Tribune and a nationally syndicated columnist with The Washington Post Writers Group whose twice-a-week column appears in nearly 200 newspapers. Previously, he was a reporter and metro columnist for the Arizona Republic and an editorial columnist at the Dallas Morning News. He offers weekly commentary on National Public Radio, contributes to USA TODAY and the Wall Street Journal, and writes weekly commentaries for CNN.COM. He also writes a monthly column for Hispanic Magazine. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government, he is the author of "A Darker Shade of Crimson: Odyssey of a Harvard Chicano." He is also a popular speaker on the lecture circuit.
