I have been producing online content for PRI's The World since 2006.
Born in Germany, I moved to London with my wife Heidi in 1989 to work for the BBC World Service. My three wonderful children were all born in London.
For some ten years I produced, edited, and hosted programs in German and trained aspiring radio journalists from around the globe at Bush House, among other things. In 1999, I joined The World, working first in the London bureau before moving to Massachusetts in 2000.
I'm an enthusiastic social media user: you can follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google +, Vine, Tumblr, or Storify and I'll be happy to connect with you. My interests include world news, American literature, eastern philosophy, martial arts, football, soccer, and Bruce Springsteen - not necessarily in that order.
