Elaisha Stokes

Elaisha Stokes is an award winning freelance journalist and documentary filmmaker, covering international human rights and foreign affairs. Her work appears regularly in The New York Times and Al Jazeera America. She has a Master's in Journalism from Columbia University and a BSc in Global Development and Agriculture from the University of British Columbia. Elaisha is the founder of Zetetic Films, which produces award winning documentaries for international broadcast. Her work has been supported by the International Women's Media Foundation, the Nation Institute for Investigative Reporting, The Patsy Preston Pulitzer Grant for Documentary Filmmaking, The New York Emmy Foundation, The Ontario Arts Council and the Columbia-DuPoint Awards.

She has received funding from the International Reporting Project for her work.
