Claire McCartney is a web producer at GlobalPost and a recent graduate of Tufts University, where she studied psychology and mass communications. Before interning with GlobalPost, Claire worked at Frontline PBS, focusing on social media as a platform for audience engagement. In 2012, Claire participated in the CIEE Communications and New Media Journalism program in Seville, Spain where she investigated a radio program broadcast out of a penitentiary psychiatric hospital. She was also an editor at Tufts' student magazine, the Tufts Observer.
