Nic Harcourt
Nic Harcourt is creative music director of public radio station KCRW-FM/Santa Monica and host of the internationally acclaimed daily music program, "Morning Becomes Eclectic." In October 2000, he began hosting a two-hour, national, weekly "best-of" version of the program called "Sounds Eclectic," distributed to public radio stations nationwide by Public Radio International.
Since Harcourt's arrival at KCRW, the music department has grown and prospered, attracting an ever-increasing audience for its programs on the air and on the Web (KCRW.com). Harcourt is held in great esteem throughout the music industry for his passion and commitment to bringing music that is adventurous, fresh, and challenging to his now worldwide audience.
Under Harcourt's aegis, KCRW has embarked on an ambitious series of live concerts at various local venues, called KCRW Presents, featuring performances by artists championed by the station.
He has also served as music consultant on a number of advertising, television and film projects for Fox Animation, Paramount TV, and Imagine Entertainment. He was nominated Non-Commercial Program Director of the Year by "Gavin Magazine," a national radio and music trade magazine.
