Green card processing delays for Indians means putting lives on hold

Many Indians came to the US in the last few decades to work in the booming tech industry. They and their children came legally. By the time the children turned 18, they believed they would have green cards. But the backlog is so long — 100-plus years — they might have to self-deport. Eli Chen of WUNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, reports that many Indian families fear the day they’ll be forced to leave their homes.
