Matmos on 'Fair Game'
Drew Daniel and M.C. Schmidt are the sound artists known as Matmos -- they play some tracks and tell Faith about their new album.
"The Washington Post" recently called Matmos "perhaps the most inventive, uninhibited, and engaging electronic music group on the planet." They've made music out of some very unlikely sounds, including amplified bodily fluids, household objects and appliances, various animals and insects, and recordings of miscellaneous forms of surgery. They've also collaborated with Björk and served as members of her touring ensemble. They're on "Fair Game" with Faith Salie to discuss their latest album, "Supreme Balloon."
PRI's "Fair Game" with Faith Salie is a satirical news and entertainment, weekday evening program. Hosted by Faith Salie, possibly the only Rhodes Scholar who performs comedy intentionally, "Fair Game" covers the important stories of the day and features newsmaker and celebrity interviews, live music and regular appearances by the country's best comedians.
More "Fair Game."
