Los Angeles Dodgers to be sold for record two billion dollars
Frank McCourt agreed to sell the Los Angeles Dodgers to a group led by Magic Johnson for a record two billion dollars Tuesday night. The purchase will cost nearly $860 million more than the price McCourt to buy the Dodgers from News Corp in 2004. The deal is pending approval from a US bankruptcy judge.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem began posting online the archive of Albert Einstein on Monday. Currently about 2,000 documents totaling 7,000 pages are available to view in full. Over the coming years the entire archive, totaling more than 80,000 pages, will be available to the public.
Rural schools recruit international students to raise money
As more families leave small towns for big cities, schools are left with fewer students. Because schools with smaller student populations receive less funding, superintendents in rural areas are forced to look outside the box to stay afloat. Some schools are recruiting international students, who pay tuition for public education, to make up for lost funding and add diversity.
U.S.-Afghan relations suffer after rogue soldier accused of killing 16 civilians
Nine children and three women were among 16 Afghan civilians killed Sunday morning in Kandahar. A U.S. Army soldier is accused of the killing, but no motive had been revealed.. The Afghan Taliban has vowed revenge and it is likely the incident will harm efforts to bring peace between the United States and the Taliban.
