U.S. ambassador to Libya killed in violent attack on American consulate

An American ambassador and three of his diplomatic colleagues were killed Tuesday in an attack on the American consulate in Bengazi, Libya -- the first time an American diplomat has been killed in at least two decades. President Barack Obama has ordered increased security for U.S. diplomatic posts abroad.

So they're turning to some public relations training, in an effort to adjust the picture they're presenting to the world.

As economic recession marches on in Spain 'Robin Hood' character galvanizes poor, unemployed

Spain continues to struggle to rebuild its economy and those who are out of work are growing increasingly frustrated. In recent months, several workers marches have been held, and in some the generally peaceful protests have turned into mob actions, which include stealing from grocery stores and banks -- ostensibly for the poor.

VIDEO: Court absolves Israeli government of blame for death of American protester in 2003

Rachel Corrie, an American student, went to the Gaza Strip in 2003 to protest Israel's destruction of Palestinian homes. She died in the protest. A court in Israel on Tuesday ruled that the driver of the bulldozer that ran her over was unable to see her and therefore isn't liable for her death.

Protests held in China after Chinese, Japanese activists land on disputed islands

China and Japan have an ongoing dispute over the Senkakus islands, also know as the Diaoyu islands, an uninhabited island chain between Taiwan and mainland Japan. This weekend, Chinese took to the streets in protest after Chinese and Japanese activists both landed on the island in the past week.
