Gifts of stock

Gifts of stock provide vital support for PRI's work. By donating long-term appreciated stock to PRI, you can also reduce your income tax and avoid the capital gains taxes you would have incurred had you sold the stock.

How to transfer stock to PRI:

  1. Inform PRI of your intentions by phone (612.330.9246), via e-mail or by mail. Your name will not accompany an electronic transfer of shares, so it is very important that you notify us of your intent. We would like to thank you, acknowledge you correctly for tax purposes and make sure your intentions are carried out properly.

  2. Authorize your broker to transfer the stock you designate.

  3. Transfer the shares using the following information: Brokerage: Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated, 7650 Edinborough Way, Suite 300, Edina, MN 55435, DTC number: 0547

Please also provide the following information to Public Radio International's broker: your name, stock issuer (company name), number of shares and the fact that the stock is a gift to Public Radio International.

Please contact Emma Cerqueira via e-mail or at 612.330.9228 if you have any questions.

Watch: Marco Werman explains the journalism of PRI's "The World."
Listeners Heart PRI:
"[The World] is the kind of show I keep looking for and that are so rare to find: the real journalistic style of more insight into what is going on, not just the headlines. Well done! Keep going!" - Kai Sinner
"Love [The World]. The only way I get to know the rest of the world. Makes a huge difference in my day." - Cindy Fenske
""WOW! I joined this edition of Studio 360 late in the broadcast, so I didn't get the full scope, however I was very moved by what I did hear. What a wonderful program. The insights, readings, historical references and voices ... blew me away. I will now download your program and make certain that my 16 and 12 yr olds hear it asap. Thank you for a very elightened car ride." - Alyce O'Rourke-Reis
"I have always adored [This American Life] ... the episodes on the financial crisis provide an invaluable service. I make all my friends listen to these shows after we get in confusing discussions about what's going on in the country so they know what they're talking about." - Libby Neder
"Thank you Ira Glass and PRI for surfacing incredible stories and telling them with such honesty." - Tariq West
