Gifts of stock

We appreciate all kinds of support here at PRI, and giving stock is another way you can provide vital support for our work. Not only are your long-term stock donations appreciated by us here at PRI, but you can also reduce your income tax and avoid the capital gains taxes you would have incurred had you sold the stock.

How to transfer stock to PRI:

    1. You can let us know your intentions by phone (612.330.9228), via email or by mail. Your name will not accompany an electronic transfer of shares, so it is very important that you notify us of your intent so we can thank you for your donation and acknowledge you correctly for tax purposes and make sure your intentions are carried out properly. By giving stock to PRI, you are joining our us in creating a more informed, empathetic, and connected world; and for that, we thank you.
    2. Make sure to authorize your broker to transfer the stock you designate.
    3. Transfer the shares using the following information: Brokerage: Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated, 7650 Edinborough Way, Suite 300, Edina, MN 55435, DTC number: 0547

Please also provide the following information to Public Radio International's broker: your name, stock issuer (company name), number of shares and the fact that the stock is a gift to Public Radio International.

If you have any questions regarding this type of donation, please contact Lisa Baumert via email or at 612.330.9228 if you have any questions.
