Early Thursday the New York Times reported word of an ad campaign being considered by a major conservative donor. It would have tried to tie President Barack Obama to controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright. But just as fast as the story broke, Republicans and Democrats condemned it and the project was quickly cancelled.

With respects, I wonder, did the President or anyone from his campaign have no comments to offer, about the matter? This article seems as though it was skewed for the Romney camp, and I see no comments mentioned from or about the Obama campaign, other than that the President's campaign is what the advertisement was directed against.

I would simply like to see a balanced view about the matter - like, if we're going to mention one campaign, and cater to their personalities, can we not be fair enough to include the other campaign in the discussion, too? I'm certain that someone in the Obama campaign would be able to comment about it.

Finally, though, I'm just glad that someone had the good sense to pull the advert. Maybe it serves to demonstrate that the political climate has not given everything over to the emotional approach.
