Evangelical Christianity on the rise in Catholic Mexico

Pope Benedict XVI spent the weekend in one of Mexico's most conservative and deeply Catholic states, Guanajuato. But elsewhere in Mexico, the Catholic Church is battling to hold onto its followers as more Mexicans turn to evangelical Christianity.

The big difference between Jehovah's Witnesses and Christians is that the Watchtower Society's central core creed proclaims Jesus second coming in October 1914.
They sometimes try to obscure this today and say that he came *invisibly*.Yes,all other Christains are awaiting Jesus return,the JW say he ALREADY came in 1914.

Watchtower society membership data is compiled by them,there is no way to verify.Interesting that they have recently admitted to losses in almost all industrialized countries.
Reports from TIME Magazine-*An even more extreme example of what might be called *masked churn* is the relatively tiny Jehovah's Witnesses, with a turnover rate of about two-thirds*.
That means that two-thirds of the people who were raised Jehovah's Witnesses no longer are.
Jehovah's Witnesses are the highest loss of any religion.

It is true that
people need to be enlightened about the
difference between Jehovah's Witnesses and
historical Christianity. JW's do not acknowledge the deity of Jesus Christ
whereas to Christians like myself this
is absolutely central. If Jesus had not
admitted to His deity He need never have
been crucified; if He were not God His
word would have no special authority;
how does one explain His resurrection
apart from His divinity? JW theology
falls apart on this point as well as
on the point you mentioned, and it is
encouraging to hear of the decline in
their ranks.
