The debate definitely looked and sounded like an “Ultimate Fighting brawl – verbally, that is. Did it clear up the issues it was supposed to dissect? No! The candidates offered the audience un-oppened but popular package deals, but no details on the blueprints inside. It was a “trust me; I am here for you; my opponent is lying to get your vote – don’t believe him ” charade.

Only a fool will trust politicians. Politicians run for high office to make history for themselves, not to help anybody else. But since they need votes to get there, they must con the voters to vote for them. They beg the voters: "Trust Me!" But the "trust me" is only a bait which withers fast after the election, as the elected politician starts catering to special groups and interests who funded their election or re-election. The single vote casting citizens fall out in the sidelines.

Theodore Roosevelt was correct that the politicians will tell voters what they want to hear, or massage their needs during the campaign, to get the votes. In his words: “The successful politician is he who says what everybody is thinking most often and in the loudest voice.” We saw that on TV last night: A loud debate by well-rehearsed politicians of how they will cure the viewer’s blues and misery!” But their promises come with a hidden expiration date: November 6, 2012!
Romney is a rich pariah who simply can’t identify with ANY average American through his fog of lies, binders full of women and network of havened money. Smug comments only examplify his elitism and show how out of touch he is. It's time we tell Mitt he can’t buy this election! Read about the role of his money and his Magic Mormon Underwear are playing in the polls at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/05/mitt-romneys-magic-mormon-underwear.html
