The Vietnam War ranks among the most contentious events in American history. But few experts agree on the specifics of when and how it started. In a new book on the war, historian Frederik Logevall takes a look at the decades preceding American involvement to better understand the making of America's Vietnam.

This Embers of War is a first Vietnam war book telling the truth. NOT like previous books were bias, fabricated and lie blamed South VietNam as "corrupted leaders, country" and short sight. The Vietnam war was controlled by "whiz kids" who thought knowing everything.

("Arrogant and politically insensitive American leadership in the field, as personified by Ambassadors Collins, Henry Cabot Lodge and Maxwell Taylor and Gens. Paul Harkins and William Westmoreland, was part of the problem. The U.S. supported a successful coup against Diem in 1963 and then yet another, only months later, against the military junta that had deposed Diem. In addition, Kennedy's and Johnson's leading advisers, particularly Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, misunderstood the war's political dimensions. This contributed to our ill-advised decision to support the coup against Diem and our ultimate decision to deploy U.S. troops to South Vietnam in 1965.")

These people above including Harriman in White house and the "thugs General" deepen in Diem and his brothers's blood.

Blaming Diem human right violated, bur US used the power to suppress the UN report which proven Diem DID NOT violate any Human right.

Monk Thich Quang Duc was killed and carried from the car to sit on the ground to be poured gasoline on Duc by monk "Hoang Cong Hoan" who later became high ranking of Khanh Hoa province. South Vietnamese called "Communist Monk" or VC Monks.

They just "lie" as long do not get caught, BUT the truth is always true no matter how long.
