Svetlana Explains it All
Playwright and performer Iris Bahr is a shape-shifter. Her recent one-woman show "Dai (Enough)" cast her as everyone from a Palestinian mother to a retired Israeli soldier, all sitting in a Tel Aviv café where tragedy is about to strike. She takes the stage at The Getty as Svetlana, a Russian immigrant and world-traveled prostitute. She has some pretty strong opinions about Los Angeles ... and her influential "clientele."

Jon Robin Baitz
There's an old story about a promising young playwright who gets lured out to Hollywood to write for the big screen. Baitz says his version has a happy ending. The acclaimed young playwright returned to his hometown of L.A. a few years ago to create ABC’s family drama "Brothers and Sisters." He explains why politics makes great TV.

Quetzal
East L.A. fusion rockers Quetzal show how they're pushing the boundaries of Chicano music to a new level of cool. Bandleader Quetzal Flores and his wife, vocalist Martha Gonzalez, tell Kurt why politics is something they can’t help but sing about. They perform two incendiary, hip-shaking songs.

Alexandra Patsavas
She curates the music sprinkled throughout hot shows like "Grey's Anatomy," "The OC," and "Gossip Girl" -- and she's been responsible for launching the careers of lots of indie bands. She shows Kurt what's kicking around her iPod.
